If travelling from Keswick along A66, take the Whinlatter Pass at Braithwaite. Follow B5292 until you give way at a T-junction with B5289. Turn left and then next left signposted to Lorton Church. The Old Vicarage is the first property on the right after 200 yards.
If travelling from Cockermouth take B5289 signposted Lorton. Ignore left turn to High Lorton and proceed towards Low Lorton and take the left turn at the bend before the village signposted to the Church. The Old Vicarage is the first property on the right after 200 yards.

Please note that The Old Vicarage is situated in a rural village in the North Lakes, and rural roads into and around Lorton often remain untreated in wintery conditions, we therefore advise all of our guests to take care when travelling to the area, especially when temperatures outside are low.
Whilst the Whinlatter Pass from Keswick offers spectacular views in fine weather, we would advise against using this route in wintery conditions, and instead would recommend that guests continue along the A66 into Cockermouth, and follow the directions above from Cockermouth into Lorton.
